December 2012, Catalan designer  Carola Alexandre, opened a very special shop in the trendiest area of Barcelona, the Born, the place where young designers are starting to show off: IVORI, a charming corner with all “made in Barcelona”.

Ivori is the dream of a young Catalan designer that has materialized in the hardest time of this crisis. Brave and enterprising, once she found the place that suited her desire, she did not hesitate to take a chance and here she is, offering a high quality product in terms of materials and tailoring but affordable considering that it is about original designs 100% made in Barcelona.

So, in addition of her own brand with the name of the shop Ivori there also are the clothes of the brand created four years ago by the same Carola Alexandre together with  Alba Gracia Neddermann Alexandre-Neddermann. Rounding out the clothes selection, Ivori offers the designs of Maria Roch Maria Roch, Elise Berger with her brand Borne and Irene Sabaté and Clara Aspachs with Name

Charming accessories by the Plumé girls: Mercé, Cristina and Bet with Les Plumé, jewelry by Pena Jewels  scarves and hats by Elena Castaudi from on-land Lubochka handbags Lubochka and the shoes of Mus&Roew complete the selection of items available in Ivori.

Ivori, Ivory in Catalan, is the color chosen to create the desired cozy environment of the shop, while enhancing the magnificent ceiling of the late years of the nineteenth century with its paintings in ocher and mallard and wood beams imported from Cuba.

The opening night, a mostly young , eclectic and modern audience, met at 7^th, Mirallers Street, just opposite to the famous Lomography photo shop in Spain Lomography and next to the exclusive La Clinique. Acclaimed designers (fashion, graphic and interior) bloggers, artists, clients of the different brands and friends from many parts of Europe, gathered to join Carola on that special day. A cup of wine (Catalonia D.O.) and the delicious cup-cakes made by Ercilia for Dollopi Barcelona were offered to all people joining while they admired the beautiful Ivori collections on sale.

And a memory of the event related to Christmas: Pinecones painted in white, silver and gold with a commemorative label. Why cones? besides being so appropriate at this time ....

IVORI is an adventure I undertake with great enthusiasm, the same with which my great-grandfather bought a vineyard that after many years giving an exquisite fruit, my grandfather turned to a lush pine forest.

This is what I share with you today offering you one of these pinecones, the fruit of the efforts of my ancestors with my touch of enthusiasm for adventure.
